Qualifications It is essential you can demonstrate: • Postgraduate qualification in Counselling (AQF 8+ or equivalent). • Significant counselling industry experience and tertiary teaching experience. • Eligibility for ACA or PACFA membership. • Commitment to excellence in teaching, student support, and professional mentorship. • Capacity to teach across undergraduate and postgraduate counselling programs. • Ability to teach a broad range of counselling and psychotherapy subjects. • Commitment to ongoing professional and academic development. • Demonstrated ability to support the professional formation of future counsellors through the integration of theory, practice, ethics, self-reflection, and cultural responsiveness. • Ability to teach across a range of counselling and psychotherapy subjects, including: • Counselling Skills • Counselling Theories • Group Work and Facilitation • Grief and Loss Counselling • Trauma-Informed Counselling • Professional Ethics and Ethical Decision-Making • Mental Health • Neuroscience and Counselling • Psychodynamic Therapy • Counselling Research • Addictive Behaviours • Cross-Cultural and Multicultural Counselling • Counselling Children and Young People.
